Parlay4’s QB Quartet for Super Bowl 57
After a mesmerizing and eventful season and playoffs, we are down to two teams duking it out for the right to be called world champion. Though it’s only one game remaining, fantasy football players still have plenty of options with which to choose from in efforts of securing a winning lineup. Let’s evaluate the final QB choices being offered on the Parlay4 app.
Jalen Hurts vs. KC
Patrick Mahomes vs. PHI
Patrick Mahomes Over/Under _ Fantasy Pts
They call him “Showtime” Patrick Mahomes for a reason. Actually, that’s for multiple reasons but certainly one of the main lines of thinking for his moniker has a lot to do with his distinct playoff prowess.
First of all, in Mahomes’ 13 career postseason starts, the Chiefs have scored a whopping 31.2 points per game. This, of course, is fueled by the future Hall-of-Famer, who owns a stellar 106.1 passer rating at this stage. Furthermore, he’s constructed 32 touchdown passes to just seven touchdowns in these affairs — meaning he is actually averaging more than two touchdown passes per game.
Consistency has been a name of the game for Mahomes, as he’s propelled the Chiefs to more than 21 points in all but one of his playoff contests. That’s another element you always have to like about the star signal-caller — he doesn’t disappoint.
True, he’ll be facing the league’s best passing defense in this one. Philadelphia allowed the fewest passing yards per game (179.8) during the regular season while also registering the second-lowest opposing passer rating (81.6) of all 32 clubs. Additionally, they notched more sacks (70) than anyone else by a mile.
However, the Chiefs’ pass protection can help ensure Mahomes is allotted sufficient time to work his usual magic. His offensive line is always good and it’s been more of the same in 2022-23 considering only two other teams yielded fewer sacks than KC.
So long as Mahomes is granted his usual space in being able to work, I have no qualms about him being able to pick apart a very good D. For years, I’ve simply compared him closely to Michael Jordan, and that signifies the opposition can do very little when at the mercy of the MVP.
Even if Kansas City doesn’t prevail, fantasy football players should expect the trademark special performance from Mahomes. If they win, it’s because the Chiefs are putting a crooked number on the scoreboard to outlast Philly; if they lose, that game script only boosts stats.
So, either way, Mahomes is showcasing another outing for the ages, and thus one that will result in a high fantasy output.

The Rest
No knock on Jalen Hurts, of course. The man just did have a tremendous season that probably could have netted him some individual hardware in most other years.
If having to choose between the two, though — like we must do in this scenario — then I’m going to go with Mahomes. Then again, I’d roll with him in a competition between any quarterback.
